Vins de Corse brings you the very best of Corsica’s vineyards, selected by Sylvain Marcon.
Welcome
Corsican by birth and a wine merchant in Belgium for some 20 years now, I have been building my portfolio of winemakers since early 2016.
After a long first career in distribution with a well-known importer, it was time to return to my roots and share my passion for the wines of my island.
These wines don’t please everyone, but they all reflect the character of their makers, with a pronounced authenticity and personality.
Corsican wines keep getting better. They have the “guts” of the winemakers who make them, the taste of their terroir, of their island character. These unique wines, made from indigenous grape varieties you won’t find anywhere else, already feature on the wine lists of many restaurants in Belgium, from fine brasseries to gastronomic and Michelin-starred restaurants, and on the shelves of the best wine shops.
It is a very personal selection of winemakers who reflect the diversity of terroirs, microclimates and wine styles of ‘my country’.
It already includes some of the best the island has to offer, and it will keep evolving with new discoveries and tastings…
Well worth discovering!
